One of the main assets of our sail yachts is the design studies and the teams behind them.
The yacht designing was given to Berret- Racoupeau Yacht Design which has been working for 20 years for the most important yards. It has developed an expertise in ocean-going yachts - notably aluminum hulled ones. It also specializes in centerboarders.
The Yacht Designer
We entrusted Franck Darnet Design with the interior decoration. The founder, Franck Darnet , also works for the most important yards and his expertise enables him to make the best use of living space. Franck Darnet worked for the Allures 44 with all the more enthusiasm as he had sailed round the world on an aluminum centerboarder much the same size and so was ready to apply to the Allures 44 all the experience he had acquired over the miles.
The Interior Designer
Exchanging viewpoints is always profitable and that's why we asked 2 experts to join
the team :
Marc Van Peteghem . We've learnt a lot from his ideas - the fruit of a 20-year experience on racing- and cruising- multihulls.
Michel Desjoyeaux (skipper of the catamaran “Géant”) : Michel has been bringing his unique experience in ocean racing to help us identify and select the most robust and efficient technical solutions for our sail yachts.
The entire structure of the Allures 44 was modeled (finite element method) to the utmost detail. To select the best bonding between aluminum hull and composite deck, and test it, Allures Yachting has worked with Rochefort-based CRITT (the Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer).
CRITT Researcher Annette Roy
Research for the conception of the Allures 44 is supported by the ANVAR (the French National Agency supporting and VAlidating Research). |
